Chris Coughlin was raised in Georgia and graduated as valedictorian from Alexander High School. Chris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from UGA (obligatory ‐ Go Dawgs!) and a Master of Science degree in Industrial‐Organizational Psychology from Valdosta State University. While in grad school, Chris met his beautiful wife, Nicole. Chris and Nicole moved to North Fulton for work and, 2 years later, decided that Johns Creek was the vibrant community where they would start a family. The Coughlin family startup has now grown to include a four year old boy, a one year old girl, and a dog.
Chris Coughlin won an elected stub term in 2015 and served on the Johns Creek City Council. Chris currently works as a Senior Research Scientist at a public company. Chris is active in the community as a volunteer, involved with North Point Community Church's small group married groups ministry and foster support groups, serves on the Johns Creek Mental Health Wellness task force, leads the Johns Creek Traffic Congestion task force, served as a Director on the Board of the Johns Creek Community Association, and attends civic engagements (e.g., city council meetings).
